Eye Brushology 101

I am no pro when it comes to makeup, I do the basic eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara and that’s it. However the more I get into makeup the more curious I become as far as brushes and actual technique. I will eventually take classes, hopefully sooner than later. In the meantime YouTube will do. I also have been trying to sign up for Sephora classes as well, when they have one that I am actually interested in.

Moving on let’s begin with eye shadow brushes. The different eyeshadow brushes yield different results. Sometimes it is not best to rely heavily on the brush that is supplied with a palette you brought. Except for the Naked Palette, I really like the feel of their supplied brush and the end result that it gives.  There are six main eye shadow brushes that can be in your starting collection.

  1. I typically use them all. With all the different ranges of brushes you could create endless looks! But to remember the brush doesnt do all the work , when applying eyeshadow always apply with a light hand use light strokes. Always hold the brush near the end of the tip as to not apply the color heavy or harsh but effortlessly. When applying eyeshadow always apply in a windshield motion back n forth with circular motions in between and lastly when blending this goes for contouring your jaw bones as well always blend upwards. 😊 Love this blog keep up the awesome work!
